Falls impact the safety and independence of seniors, while also creating economic and personal costs. Understanding risk factors, providing comprehensive assessments and determining appropriate evidence-based fall management programs are essential to providing quality comprehensive care and services to our seniors today. This program will provide you with a deeper understanding of the complicated fall risk factors for the aging and provide frameworks for evaluating and identifying seniors at risk, It will also explore several evidence-based fall avoidance strategies to decrease the number and impact of falls in seniors.

Speaker: Sarah Kost – former Licensed Nursing Home Administrator. Bachelor’s degree in Gerontology and Long Term Care Administration from Bowling Green State University. She’s worked with Brookdale Hospice for almost a year and was the Administrator of a Nursing Home and Assisted Living prior.
